Fake signet ring
According to etiquette, you can only wear a signet ring if you have a coat of arms, the hereditary mark of the family. These rings were formerly used to seal documents such as letters, by pressing the weapon into the lacquer. A signet ring without engraving, with a smooth stone, is therefore seen as fake and derogatory called a 'tile ring'. Its wearers are mockingly called Lord or Lady Gladstone. In short: the tile ring is considered a faux pas by the elite. But if you ask the wearers themselves, you'll probably get a completely different answer.
