The Brabantine clog is the shortened version of the Frisian ice skate. It is a special children's ice skate, made of wood, with a short nose. Due to its short size, the ice is very easy to ride on. Ideal for learning to skate! At the same time, this type of ice skate is good for correcting skating posture. This model was especially popular in the south of the Netherlands. The skate is fitted with harness leather straps with typical orange striped laces. They were made by brands such as Zandstra and Nijdam. Retro models of the traditional Brabantine ice skates are still produced, for ice fun with a nostalgic feel.
