Red hair, protruding ears or Coke-bottle glasses – how many primary school kids have been bullied about it? Coke-bottle glasses enlarge the eyes and resemble the bottom of a Coca Cola bottle. “To make it even worse, those horrible glasses were also in hideous frames,” writes a columnist, who as a small girl at primary school had to wear such glasses. But, the days when you had to wear glasses with very thick lenses with bad eyesight are over. Manufacturers have succeeded in making lenses thinner and lighter in recent years. This not only looks better, it also significantly improves wearing comfort. Ironically, hipsters wear large black-rimmed glasses and drink coconut water from equally trendy jam jar glasses.
