Tankini

Swimwear

Win win situation
A tankini is a two-piece swimsuit for women, which first appeared on the market in the early 1990s. It is a cross between the bikini and the one-piece swimsuit. The top is a singlet – often with straps, sometimes topless – that just covers the navel or falls to the hips. A matching pair of pants or shorts is usually worn underneath. Some wearers opt for a tankini because it is more dressy and less exposed than a bikini. Plus: a big advantage compared to the one-piece swimsuit is that a tankini does not have to be taken off completely when visiting the toilet. Another advantage is that you can mix and match the top with different bottoms, a trend that has become very popular in recent years.
